Eurostars Conquistador

This hotel is in an amazing location- near all of the old town sights. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. There was a variety of tv channels in different languages available. Breakfast was decent; there were a fair number of options, although having a canteen of hot milk would be nice.

The parking here was a bit of a fright since the hotel is right within the old town where everyone is walking around and lingering. However, once you survive the blind plunge into the underground parking garage and are parked, it is fine. Kettle- We have traveled throughout Spain and it seems to be a rarity to find a room with a kettle, but still would be a nice addition to add a level of comfort for travelers. Air con/heat- It also seems to be common throughout Spain that heating is on in winter months (even if the exterior temperature is quite warm) and cooling is only available during summer months. This is a bit ludicrous because many travelers come to southern Spain because of its warmth and (for us) summer-like temperatures. In addition, some people like to be warm and some like to be cool, especially when sleeping, so we should have the option that suits us best. We had to keep the window open to cool the room down and get air flow, which is fine except that then you cannot keep your curtains closed in the evening or when undressing/dressing and you are thus subjected to the loud talking outside, the traffic, garbage collection, and anyone smoking. While we liked being right in the middle of what we wanted to see, I would not say this hotel is worth the cost. It presents itself online as much nicer than it is is, but the rooms are a bit dated and basic in terms of comfort.
