Un excelente desayuno con una buena selección de platos calientes cocinados y estaba disponible y está incluido en el precio de la habitación.

Desventajas: El personal del Hotel Russell no se ajustó al servicio de atención al cliente general que experimenté en Inglaterra en su conjunto. Son menos que complacientes para los huéspedes que reservaron a través de sitios web con descuento y tratan mejor a los huéspedes que reservaron directamente con ellos. El interior está muy pasado de moda y necesita reformas. La habitación de mis amigos la primera noche tenía un olor químico de limpieza muy fuerte. Era insoportable para ellos porque tienen algunas sensibilidades. El hotel no pudo trasladarlos a otra habitación y terminamos cambiando de habitación con ellos. la conexión wi-fi en este hotel es irregular en el mejor de los casos. No me rehusaría a volver a este hotel, pero probablemente lo evitaría.

Desventajas: Aunque pagué por mi habitación por adelantado, la recepcionista insistía en venderme el desayuno, que no quería, y en poner a 50 libras por día como depósito en mi tarjeta de crédito, aunque dije que no usaría ninguno de los restaurantes del hotel.
Fue difícil entrar a la habitación porque un armario grande había sido situado directamente junto a la puerta, casi bloqueando la entrada y salida de la habitación.

Desventajas: Unfortunately after my room was serviced noticed a huge black hair on top of my bed that wasn't great. Also felt completely ignored by chief concierge while waiting for luggage. Not even an acknowledgement or an eye contact while he was specking trivia with other guest and on my way out of the Hotel the same person not even ask to help us with luggage. I'm speaking about a gentleman that have the clefs d'or in his jacket, this should be synonyms of excellency, what it wasn't in this gentleman's case.

Desventajas: The check in was incredibly slow and there was a mix up with our room keys which took quite a while to resolve. (Though we were given two vouchers for money off the bar.) Service was again terribly slow at breakfast, and the food wasn't very hot, but a 12.5% service charge was added to it. It also seemed a very expensive room rate to not include breakfast.

Desventajas: The breakfast wasn't to the standard I was expecting from this hotel. It was good but could definitely be better by using good quality ingredients. I had eggs benedict one morning and smoked salmon bagel the following. Although both were fine, I've definitley had better in many other places.

Desventajas: We booked a superior king room with walk-in shower which we did not get. However they did compensate with a late check-out. We travelled by Eurostar so stayed at the hotel twice, going and coming back. The first room had a walk-in shower and only lukewarm water and hardly any water coming from the sink- room on fifth floor. On the second visit the room was larger and more comfortable but with an irritatingly squint shower over the bath - room on ground floor.

When they got round to it thre mistakes were made and they came across as not interested . In fact my partner when informing the waiter of staying in the hotel stated he was not at all interested. Appalling customer service sums up this hotel. Good hotel ruin by untrained staff. Went for dinner at the St. Pancras Hotel which was superb with customer service to match. Shame with good staff a fully decent hotel which it should be at prices like this. I will never venture here again as I can be insulted far cheaper than here!

There's been some decrease in the looking after you factor since the Hotel was taken over from Meridien and in general a bit cooler. The rooms and location in a way make up for it. Special mention for the restaurant staff. I was very pressed for time and they made sure the breakfast was sped up and done. much appreciated.

Ventajas: I was so looking forward to staying at this hotel because of the location and its boutique style but I was so disappointed in my room and more so the price I was charged to stay in what I can only describe as a prison cell shoe box. I paid £494 for 1 night. This did not include breakfast, it had no Tea or coffee facilities in the room because that is how small the room was, yet it had an espresso machine hidden in a wardrobe area so that area could have been utilized for a small kettle and full tea/coffee facilities. Even the Premier Inn make room for such amenities. To get a hot drink you had to walk down a corridor from your room to a pantry. Early on a morning and before a shower means you have to get ready just to go and get a refreshing morning drink to suit your personal choice. The bathroom had no area for me to put my wash or make up bag, I had to put down the toilet seat to place these whilst I was using the mirror to get ready. The pillows were so soft that your sleeping with your head on the mattress and for this boutique price tag, you most certainly should have the option of a firm or soft pillow. You could not swing a cat in this room and was so difficult opening a large suitcase to get your belongings out every time , then close it up just to have some floor space. The room overlooked the roof of Kingscross and had no view whatsoever. Whilst the room was quiet and the reception staff were very nice and accommodating by allowing me early access to the room as it was ready before normal check in, overall I felt ripped off with such a huge price tag and I would never stay at this hotel again. When paying such a high price tag for 1 night you dont feel the need to question the hotel in anyway and trust that it would meet this price level however I took it upon myself to review further due to my disappointment to find that on other nights they sell these rooms online for as little as £199. I would never book here again !

Desventajas: The room didn’t have a kettle or tea but there is a pantry down the hallway that provides tea and the kettle. It’s just a matter of how you feel about that. Otherwise, beautiful room.

Ventajas: We stayed in a Double Room with Single bed. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom are very nice but they don't lock. The building is very close to the Angel Station and a Market. We felt safe to walk at night from the station and restaurants near by. They service at check-out was fantastic! We had to go to the airport and forgot to book a taxi. The front desk agent called a taxi for us! Excellent service!

Desventajas: At check-in, we were urged to pay in USD (and sign for it). However, the exchange rate was extremely high and we were charged an additional 3%. For US tourist, pay in Pounds! Also, the food in the hotel restaurant was a bit overpriced.

Desventajas: One staff at reception was unfriendly when i asked her about the access card was not working for lounge. I needed to take tea or breakfast. But rather than helping, she asked me to bring identity card etc. I had no time, so i left the hotel without breakfast. In the evening someone else helped me and urgently checked the card and rectified problem. I am surprised, if card was not working why the staff needed to see once again my passport etc which was in the room and i needed extra time to go to room and bring the passport to show her. when my card already was issued for the room, but had some issue at lounge access.

Desventajas: 1) We’ve booked Deluxe Queen room with city view. As a result I’ve got a corner room Nr. 572 with a view to the courtyard brick walls from two sides just in front of us. 2) Be aware that there are construction works in the hotel till the end of the year. Therefore for example we woke up on Saturday morning at 7 am because of some construction works in the yard. They stopped only after the call to the reception. 3) The breakfast area is very dirty. The waiters while cleaning the tables just swipe everything to the floor. Also they clean the table from dirty dishes and bring your cup of coffee holding it on the top with the same hands. The staff is not aware of hygienic requirements at all. I would give only 3 star rating to the hotel and would recommend Hilton to remove its label from the hotel name cause it misleads the clients promising the Hilton standard even in 4 star hotel.

Desventajas: At first we were given a smoking room, even when we bought non-smoking through booking. Obviously there was some mistake, but the staff didn't have a problem changing the room, so we went to a new room in 10 minutes. The breakfast could use some more vegetables.

Ventajas: the best thing was after a long day of travelling, meetings, work etc the pillows and bed were so comfy!! I didn't make use of any of the hotel facilities as i was in london for work purposes so did not spend much time actually in the hotel, but what i could see was very good, staff great.

Desventajas: Valor muy pobre por el dinero. La habitación estaba bastante abarrotado, con un diseño incómodo y ruidoso (aunque la recepción decía que era el lado tranquilo del hotel). Sentarse en la habitación y en toda la zona común del hotel es viejo e incómodo. No volveré.

Desventajas: The bed was really very uncomfortable. The mattress was really hard. I may as well have slept on the floor. Not happy at all. I have a bad back. I also didn’t like the wooden steps down to the bed area. It’s a hazard even with the sensor lights and not comfortable to step on barefoot when I need the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Desventajas: There was a mouse in my room. The night staff has been very nice and had me changing room with a lot of apologies. The hotel was almost full so I got a less nice room than what I had paid of, the staff ensuring me that I would get a nice refund by his boss the day after. I got only 10%!!! Really problems may happen, i don’t mind but at least you do the maximum to have your guest think that you do your best. That is absolutely not what happened in the morning. I felt like having been taken as a fool. And I am not talking about the breakfast where I had to wait ages to get a bowl and before I left the staff have had an argument in front of all the guests. I travel a lot and I have never been treated like this.

The room was hot and stuffy during the day and the aircon couldn’t be altered. It was comfortable at night. The room had floor to ceiling windows on two sides at ground level, so darkness or no privacy.

The hotel's location is perfect for my wife and me - since her professional connection is to SOAS and mine is to the Institute for Advanced Legal Studies. Moreover, she and I frequent the British Museum, British Library, and I commute to Cambridge by train, hence, King's Cross Station is another convenience. And more than that, Bloomsbury restaurant are another treat.

Desventajas: Carpeting on the "Executive" Sixth Floor is rather worn, and our room - #622 - was large but not as expected. Meaning, I asked for a view window (and there was none!). And the room did not seem like an executive room. However, it was clean, and large, and the bathroom was superb, especially the shower. That said, I will stay again at Holiday Inn Bloomsbury, if I can book Room 627b - which would have been just right for my wife and me, as its painting and decor is much more contemporary and pleasant than Room 622, plus 627b has Two windows (on different walls) both with city views. This room would have made us happy. (Please keep this comment because I mean every word.) NG Young

I liked that it was clean, but the lack of light in the night, the fact that the room didnt have windows...for me it was terrible. It was not hotel`s fault, I don`t want you to understand that, this was our option. Usually, I am not claustrofobic, but I felt awful in this kind of room. You just need to take into consideration before you book a small room, without windows...

Desventajas: No me enteré hasta que llegué de que el baño es compartido con otras dos habitaciones. Y eso es en el tercer piso sin ascensor y escaleras estrechas/empinadas. Y no me di cuenta hasta que llegué a mi próximo hotel que alguien nadó en mi punto de acceso inalámbrico (que no funcionaría en el Reino Unido de todos modos) y oidos (los compré en el avión y sucumbieron, así que no te importa). Pero debería estar agradecido de no llevar mi portátil, ¿verdad? ¿Verdad?

There was always (24hours!) a member of staff around to help if any queries or problems. The pub itself has a good selection of drinks, good food and nice atmosphere. And you get a 10% discount on pub prices if you're staying in the hostel! If I needed a bed for the night in this part of London I'd stay again.

Desventajas: El sujeto que está encargado en la noche fue bastante grosero, porque teníamos la reservación y habiendo hecho ya el check in el sujeto se negaba a darnos la entrada al lugar, diciendo que nosotros no teníamos reserva en el hostal ( y aún mostrándole la reserva y pago del alojamiento) se negaba una y otra vez a revisar en su computadora.. hasta que tuve que de irle que buscara bien en su computadora en las últimas líneas vio la foto de mi pasaporte en la reserva y nos dejo entrar.! Mal servicio de atención al cliente .

Ventajas: The location is fine and, surprisingly, the noise from the pub wasn't too bad. The bed was comfortable, the locker worked and the room was reasonably big.
Desventajas: It's quite hot in the rooms (one of the people sleeping there had a fan switched on the whole night pointing at him, so he get the cooler air and the rest of us got the noise), the shower didn't work properly (no hot water would come out, and i tried everything) and the bathroom was quite messy. There doesn't seem to be enough bathrooms/toilets for so many guests. Either the socket in the room or the adapter they sell at the reception is not entirely right (would get a spark plugging and unplugging stuff), and charging 5 pounds for a towel seems a bit excessive.

Ventajas: Very easy to find and right next to Euston station. Great value for money for an overnight stay. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who just wants a nice and quiet place in close proximity to the underground and rail.
Desventajas: I cannot comment on something as being bad. It would be excellent for the price if there was some "storing" facility (even at additional cost) and maybe one more toilet. The smell from the kitchen could be also a negative although I did not get bothered by it.

Desventajas: I hope this is constructive criticism. There wasn't even a chair to sit on to put your socks on in the room if people were occupying bottom bunks. Luggage/personal belongings lockers could easily be larger. Only one shower/toilet on 2nd floor?

Desventajas: No tiene áreas comunes, pocos baños y duchas, uno para las 5 piezas del segundo piso, consideran que en una éramos 6, eran aprox 30 personas para una ducha, en la mañana por lo general te tocaba esperar, siempre mojado porque la ducha se abre hacia fuera y las paredes con hongos. No tienes dónde cocinar ni dónde sentarte a tomar un desayuno si quieres por tu cuenta (no te dejan comer en las piezas). El sistema de ingreso a las piezas ineficiente, te terminan despertando cada vez que alguien intenta abrir con los códigos y los golpes que dan. Definitivamente no volvería

Ventajas: We were upgraded to the Clarendon from the Lancaster, so please note this review is for the CLARENDON. An excellent location in a lovely, converted old building. Our room at the Clarendon had wonderful floor to ceiling (almost) windows that we could prop open for cool evening air. Fans were provided for a bit of extra circulation which was nice. Staff (bell hop) was very helpful with our luggage and answering questions and was very friendly. He also recognized us later in the evening before we entered the hotel. Shake Shack is just an under-ten minute walk, the theater district is short cab ride away (about £7-15 depending on traffic), but the street the Clarendon is on is quite quiet. Not much traffic noise (foot or vehicle) at all which, considering we had the window open, would have been bothersome.

Ventajas: We received an upgrade to the Clarendon hotel (a 4 star hotel of the same chain as Lancaster Hotel) upon arrival. The room was really very big and the bed comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the large bathroom with bathtub, fresh towels and nice shower gel. The room was equipped with a not so new furniture but it was well kept. Boiler and tea were provided as well as TV, stereo and a large desk. The hotel is really in an excellent position (3 minutes by feet from the British Museum) and you can basically walk to several London's attractions. Also, it is at walking distance from two metro stations.

Ventajas: We were upgraded to the Clarendon from the Lancaster, so please note this review is for the CLARENDON. An excellent location in a lovely, converted old building. Our room at the Clarendon had wonderful floor to ceiling (almost) windows that we could prop open for cool evening air. Fans were provided for a bit of extra circulation which was nice. Staff (bell hop) was very helpful with our luggage and answering questions and was very friendly. He also recognized us later in the evening before we entered the hotel. Shake Shack is just an under-ten minute walk, the theater district is short cab ride away (about £7-15 depending on traffic), but the street the Clarendon is on is quite quiet. Not much traffic noise (foot or vehicle) at all which, considering we had the window open, would have been bothersome.
Desventajas: Pay attention to parking. Bloomsbury square is the closest, but it is very secure...for a reason. So just watch your things near the park.

Ventajas: Excellent location for Russel Sq & Holburn tube stations. Nice quiet location. Accommodation is clean and well presented. Staff are polite and helpful. Basically what was advertised was delivered.
Desventajas: Carpet a little bare at edges of room but was clean. Bed was a little hard but this is personal opinion and could suite other peoples expectations. No lounge bar facility, but could use sister hotel across the road. Communal shared (Toilet) on 3rd floor, not really what I am used to but was clearly advertised in the hotel description with two toilets provided close to room.

Ventajas: We received an upgrade to the Clarendon hotel (a 4 star hotel of the same chain as Lancaster Hotel) upon arrival. The room was really very big and the bed comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the large bathroom with bathtub, fresh towels and nice shower gel. The room was equipped with a not so new furniture but it was well kept. Boiler and tea were provided as well as TV, stereo and a large desk. The hotel is really in an excellent position (3 minutes by feet from the British Museum) and you can basically walk to several London's attractions. Also, it is at walking distance from two metro stations.
Desventajas: The room was a bit dusty as well as the carpet. Also, the room was overheated and we discovered that the radiator in the bathroom had a handle broken so could not be turned off. Moreover, both the window in the bathroom and in the room could not be properly closed so I guess it terribly cold in winter. The floor was creaking under our feet and also the bed was not so stable. I am also disappointed that there are no fridges in the room. At least a water dispenser on each floor would make life easier.

Desventajas: Un joven español llamado Miguel que forma parte del staff se encontraba enojado y fue irrespetuoso conmigo y mis amigas haciendo comentarios como 'no me importa tú opinión'. Diciendo esto después de molestarnos por cómo uno del staff de seguridad nos pidió movernos de la entrada sin ser amable, por lo que comentamos que era un lugar público ( y teníamos escasamente 2 minutos ahí parados) y a partir de ahí, el joven que menciono al inicio, comenzó a gritar diciendo no importar la opinión de los clientes. Ojalá el equipo del hostal hagan algo al respecto y seleccionen a personal que sea amable y disfrute de lo que haga. Aún no puedo creer que se nos haya tratado de tal manera.

Desventajas: 10 people mix dorm room is in the basement, with hardly any light and facing the main road with continuous traffic. I have no idea how this looks like in winter as there seems to be no heating in the room and no air-con, we had out windows open all the time hence the noise is constant. And the air is not that great. Also two showers for everyone and only one female toilet on the floor, you can get the second one one floor up. Cleanliness is so-so, you cannot be too picky and the room is really small for 10 people. Good to crash for the night but no other luxury.

Desventajas: Awful room number 555. Very cramped. Bathroom didn’t appear finished eg. Nowhere to hang towels. No heating in bathroom so towels didn’t dry. Terrible drainage and loud gurgling noises when I assume any other nearby rooms emptied sinks, had showers, flushed loos. Extractor fan stayed on for approx 30 mins very loud. Window overlooks HS2 building site which is incredibly noisy from very early in the morning. All in all AVOID room 555. I expressed this at reception they asked how I slept - told them I didn’t - and was met with ‘oh dear...’.

En cuanto a las instalaciones, el cuarto estaba limpio y ordenado, el bar es muy bonito por si buscas ambiente tipo fiesta, tiene lavandería, área de fumado. En general el lugar es perfecto

Ventajas: La ubicación era excelente y las instalaciones estaban en buenas condiciones. Cada cama cuenta con dos entradas USB, además del toma corriente, lo que me pareció super útil. En los baños de mujeres había secador de pelo, eso también me pareció un plus.
Desventajas: Tuvimos un par de inconvenientes que supieron resolver, pero siendo que uno va de vacaciones y con ganas de disfrutar, es una pena tener que perder tiempo haciendo reclamos que podrían evitarse. Estuvimos en habitación compartida de 4 personas: el espacio es bastante reducido para esa cantidad de personas y se vuelve un poco incómodo para abrir los lockers. La limpieza de la habitación fue correcta, pero los baños (por lo menos los de tercer piso) estaban bastante descuidados, sobre todo la zona de las duchas.

Ventajas: Me gustó que el desayuno es muy económico. Está separado el wc de las regaderas, aunque son pocos wc para todos los huéspedes. Las camas tienen cortinas, aunque en algunos cuartos son demasiadas y los espacios son reducidos. El personal es muy amable, perdí las llaves de mi candado y el chico de seguridad me auxilió de muy buena manera, los chicos de la recepción también son muy amables, iba con mi mamá y nos dieron cama en el mismo cuarto a pesar de que teníamos reservaciones diferentes.

Desventajas: Estuve 4 noches y traté de evitar por completo estar en el espacio común del hostel, ya que el ambiente de los huespedes es raro, muchos huespedes al parecer viven allí y tienen aspecto home less, generando un clima muy raro en el espacio común. Para una mujer viajando sola, es espantoso sentirse insegura en el lugar donde duerme. El olor en el espacio común es desagradable, desde el mediodía hasta la noche. Pésima la limpieza en la cocina y baños. Las habitaciones son pequeñas y muy poco ventiladas. Para poder utilizar el locker dentro de la habitación se debe pagar por noche.

Desventajas: Las regaderas tienen un mal olor Poca ventilación y se encierra mucho el calor No cuidan tu equipaje, te lo cobran 3£ por maleta Dejaron entrar a un huésped a las 4:00am, en estado de ebriedad, y como tenía que hacer su cama hizo un desastre en el cuarto y despertó a todos. Te dan sabanas cuando llegas y tú tienes que hacer tu cama, por el precio me parece que debería ya de estar hecha cuando llegas.

Desventajas: First room had extensive mold in bathroom. Bed linen was old and worn, hallways smelled of dampness. I have pixs which night manager was not interested in seeing and was VERY RUDE! No living person should have been put there!! Next room was ok. Breakfast was very limited and crowded and noisy. U had to pay extra £5 for eggs and bacon, usually cold.
We were told hotel chain was biggest in Europe and I’ll add WORSE in Europe. Will never book hotel on internet again because I had no recourse to get my money back!!! I will only call hotel directly and pay AFTER my stay , so if I’m not happy I can go elsewhere.
PS, hotel dining room resembled “Grade school cafeteria, hall pass was issued that you had to show to get in”

I knew that this is going to be an "adventure" and "different experience", but i guess i just didnt realize how bad the hotel actually is. We had a double room with a shower room inside, but i would actually go for a shared bathroom if i would have to stay in this place again - the rooms were a bit better (but still very bad condition) and didnt have this moisture smell (as it was in our room). Also the shared shower-rooms were better then in our room. I will do my best to not to return!

Desventajas: Smell in bathroom genuinely made us sick. One bin in bathroom. No bin in room. Dust everywhere. Water leaked from ceiling in hallway because it was raining. Have video ev. Stairs to room was absolutely disgustingly filthy. Reception wouldn't ring taxi for us told us we have to stand outside and hail one down ourselves. Window wouldn't open or close properly in room one single bed out of the 2 in room frame was broken.

Desventajas: I´m sorry, but its not a hotel, its a bunker. If you are just looking for a place to sleep when you are either very tired or drunk, its ok i guess. But if you want to have the good London experience, just postpone the trip until you can afford a couple of hundred pounds more for a hotel.

Ventajas: I loved the location, it was close to where i needed to be and it was surrounded by stores, and restaurants. You were a few minutes away from the tube, and taxi cabs often drove past so you could catch one.
Desventajas: The hotel was only £50 a night for a single room with shared bathroom which is the cheapest around, so I wasn't expecting a 5 star stay. However, the building was old which cannot be faulted. Every single floor board creaked, the cold tap in my room had hot water meaning there was no drinking water in the room, awful to brush your teeth! The power went out after a storm, there was a leak in the hallway and in my room and when asked to clean it up, no one came. Eventually it dried into the wood floor and added to the previous water damage. One wouldn't expected a flooded room on the 2nd floor of a building. The bed was uncomfortable and unclean. There was hair on the floor from a previous guest, the only clean thing was the bed i think. They made it twice a week, and emptied the bin twice a week. The kitchen looked like it could be used by guests but it was unclear, and looked grotty. Staff weren't helpful at all, and often not at front desk. Had to sleep with earplugs in as single glazing windows, creaky floorboards, thin walls. Could hear someones TV they left on all night and every word of a conversation.

Desventajas: Absolutely disgustingly filthy. I wish I'd read reviews before booking, though I'd probably have thought they were exaggerating. I went to the McDonalds all night cafe till 1 am and I went back there before 7 am to get away from the hotel and I sat on a chair in the bathroom for the rest of the night (extremely uncomfortable but I didn't dare sleep in the bed for fear of the bedbugs that other reviewers mentioned. Just to give one example, the carpet seemed to have a large dried bloodstain and was black with filth. In retrospect, I wish I'd sat in McDonalds all night and just gone back there for my suitcase.
