Fairmont Pacific Rim

Staff is excellent- from valet to reception and especially the bartending staff and management. Pedro (front desk) in particular was very professional (and gorgeous!!! is he single?). We had the most exquisite drinks at the first floor lounge. The drinks menu is superb. Room service was prompt and delicious (pizzas recommended!).

We picked the spot largely because of the outdoor heated pool, which we intended to use in the early evening on NYE. Around 8/9pm when we went, the pool was entirely over-run by a group of families and their MANY children-literally a 1:4 adult to child ratio-doing cannonballs, shrieking and running around, as kids do. The hot tub was entirely populated by this group of people for over an hour. We would have come later in the evening but the pool hours only go until 10pm. Obviously this doesn't reflect on the hotel, as all guests are free to enjoy the amenities, but perhaps the management can look into a 'curfew' for the pool so that adults can enjoy some privacy and quiet.

Free transportation within the down town, good breakfast, clean rooms

Despite to large breakfast place the options were limited, I don’t know why they don’t serve high quality breakfast buffet in Canada.
