Ventajas: Bed was comfy, everything was very clean and very modern. Shower was very powerful . There is happy hour from 6-7 where you can get a free drink too.

Desventajas: Very minor things- No full size mirror. The door lock for the bathroom was very stiff to use.

Ventajas: Realmente todo. La ubicación es excelente. Cerca d las atracciones de la ciudad y de facil acceso a las paradas de buses para hacer excursiones. El personal inmejorable en cuanto a actitud y predisposición a la hora que sea. El desayuno es impecable. Variadisimo.

Ventajas: Location was perfect and an easy walk to most attractions. Breakfast was very nice. Good variety of food. The hotel staff was very helpful with booking transportation and sightseeing excursions.

Desventajas: Specifically asked for a quiet room away from the lift but was assigned a smaller room close to the lift. Room size on booking.com specifically states 32sqm but hotel seems to have limited supplies of rooms with this size and yet fails to make this correction on this site. So this is rather misleading. Complained straight away but the hotel and its manager failed to go beyond expectations unlike a lot of the more experienced and established hotel chain by upgrading their guests. Also insisted that the room that I was assigned initially was the correct category. Honestly, this is not the point, the point is the hotel should always take every opportunity to review the requirements of the guest before hand. And do their very best to assign the very best rooms available to the guest rather than wait for them to complain, then give them what they pay for. This is disappointing given the raving reviews on this site. Also I happen to be a short, youthful looking Chinese lady. So, I am terribly disappointed to experience this type of prejudice in a beautiful city like Reykjavik, who is heavily reliant on tourism. Even the pharmacy next door was quite rude. Having waited in line patiently, they chose to ignore me and served a taller Caucasian man. Unfortunately, this type of arrogance & ignorance seems to be more prevalent in a lot of the smaller European cities and economies.

Ventajas: I liked the interior design, the goodies from the yule lads in the morning, the spa, the breakfast...the list goes on!

Ventajas: Everything, a classy hotel in a great central location

Desventajas: Nothing. Would go back again, we loved it. Don’t be put off by no parking, you will find spaces nearby which is free from 6pm to 9am.

Desventajas: El desayuno podia ser mejor, pero en general los desayunos en Iceland son escuetos.

Ventajas: We loved this hotel. Very classy and my husband said his Christmas Day meal was the best meal he has ever had (he is a very well travelled businessman). The staff were excellent and very polite and helpful. The breakfast was excellent as was the gym and pool . I would have liked to stay there for longer. We had 2 children with us and they catered for this with a children’s menu and and little gifts on Christmas Eve. Complimentary crisps, water and soft drinks in fridge. Excellent location.....in the middle of everything and close to bus stops for pickups for organised tours

Ventajas: Decoración preciosa, impecable, moderno, con ventanales y mucha luz, q dan a la calle principal de Reikiavik, pero no se oye apenas ruido.Ubicación perfecta. Tiene una cocina con todo lo necesario, y una cafetera italiana buena y café de grano preparado.

Desventajas: Sin desayuno, pero al ser apartamento, es lo normal

Ventajas: The hotel was perfect for a couple. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves. Perfect location to walk to everything we wanted to see or to get to the bus transfers. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice.

Desventajas: The only thing I would suggest is leaving directions for the coffee maker and the oven and stove. They were a little difficult to figure out.

Ventajas: The location was great, on the central street. 5 minutes away from bus stop 14 and pick up for tours at the Rex Hostel - the main street is mostly pedestrianised so you do have to walk a little for pick ups. The bonus supermarket and Brauo bakery were a two minute walk away. The self-check in process was easy, 5 mins. We never really met any of the staff on reception. For check out you just leave your card in a box. The bean to cup coffee machine made excellent coffee, plenty of beans, sugar, herbal tea bags and milk in the fridge on arrival. The kitchen had everything we needed including a dishwasher. The bathroom was compact but clean and the shower was amazing. The Icelandic shampoo, shower gel and conditioner were lovely - I don't normally use hotel stuff but these smelt really nice. We were located on the back overlooking the courtyard on the first floor, we heard a little noise from outside and other rooms but it was not a problem. Good tv with lots of English options.

Desventajas: The bed was two twins pushed together which is sometimes fine but there was an annoying dent in the middle. This was also annoying because the duvet only just met the ends of the bed, it wasn't big enough to be comfortable for two people, especially when sleeping in the middle of the bed was uncomfortable. We booked the cheapest room but it could have done with a small table so you could eat together in the room. It had a bench at the end of the bed and two stools which would not be ideal if you wanted to eat a meal in the room. Other than that, fantastic stay.

Ventajas: Fabulous. Great for our Iceland holiday.

Ventajas: Location was superb. Staff was friendly (although not very knowledgeable about the immediate surroundings surprisingly)

Desventajas: We booked for 2 king beds for my wife and 2 kids (7, 11 year old). * Upon arrival we found our room to have limited standing room. Yes you read that right. The walls were angled so you couldn’t stand in the bathroom, next to the bed or at the dining table. At first it was the charming feature of an international stay, but quickly grew tiresome after multiple “head bonks” This was not clear at time of booking otherwise we would have made a different choice. * Also pushing 2 “twin size” beds together does not equal a true king size bed. * We asked for several recommendations each day for food and dining, only 1 person (“Fanney” who was amazing) was able to offer various recommendations and also find reservations for us. It really seemed like most of the staff which was different each day was very unfamiliar with the local places to eat and were solely reliant on google searches rather than local knowledge.

Ventajas: Really modern and clean big rooms. Good bathroom. They also put milk in the fridge on arrival - great for hot drinks.

Desventajas: Pillows very lumpy!

Ventajas: El personal es increíblemente servicial y atento. Nada más que cosas buenas que decir sobre este lugar. La ubicación es una base excelente para caminar por las tiendas y restaurantes del centro.

Ventajas: Un apartamento de lujo impresionante en pleno centro de Reykjavik. Está totalmente equipado, muy céntrico y cómodo. Cumple todas las expectativas y las supera. El personal es muy amable. ¡Un 10!

Ventajas: The location wqs great, staff were friendly lots of apace in the apartment as a whole. The facilities were all excellent!

Desventajas: Draws in the besroom had emtpy bottles in so not cleaned out properly. Bedroom was on the smaller side but made up for by the space in the rest of the apartment.

Ventajas: The location of the hotel is very good, very clean, the bathroom is very neat, the living room and kitchen facilities are very advanced. I like the furnishings and styles of the living room very much.

Desventajas: The bedroom is small, especially the second bedroom.

Ventajas: Great location. Apartment was very clean and spacious. We had the 2 bedroom penthouse and it was perfect for our family of four. Up to date, modern and very well maintained. Staff promptly answered any questions before and during our visit. Highly recommend.

Desventajas: No tiene parking. No tiene sala común salvo la recepción. Es excesivamente caro para el nivel de hotel que es.

Ventajas: La ubicación es excelente, las habitaciones grandes y cómodas. Tiene Nespresso, Apple TV y cocina que te hace sentirte como en casa.

Desventajas: No tiene un espacio común como un salón salvo la recepción que es limitada. El precio es excesivo para el nivel del hotel. No tiene parking.

Desventajas: To go to the room you have to cross a balcony without ceiling .... if if snowing you are outdoor ...

Ventajas: Excellent location in downtown. Attractions, shops & restaurants all in close proximity. Good amount of space in the Junior suite. 1 minute walk to the bus stop for excursion pick-ups.

Ventajas: Privacidad. Tranquilo. Moderno. Pequeño. A corta distancia a pie de la estación de autobuses y el centro de Strip y la iglesia.

Desventajas: Canales de televisión eran cómicos. De los 800 canales apenas unos 25 funcionaban y todos estaban duplicados.. Pero quién va a Reykjavik para la televisión? Aún así, podría haber sido más fácil.

Ventajas: The room.was spacious and the bed huge. The facilities were fantastic. It was very comfortable. Lots of complimentary tea and coffee. Fresh towels every day. Great location a short walk from the town centre and even shorter walk to the amazing halgrimskjrka church. Pick up for excursions from outside the front door. The shower was exceptional

Desventajas: When we self checked in there were no key cards available so we had to call the hotel (while in the hotel) to get through to someone who wasnt in 'the office' at the time. Wait 5 minutes and then be given a code to open a key safe to get a spare key. The self check in would be great as long as there were key cards available. It was the same for another couple who arrived just after us.

Ventajas: The room was excellent, all we needed to sleep, cook and relax! The bed was huge, the bathroom was so nice, with really nice toiletries and the kitchen had everything needed for those late night cups of tea and toast. Felt like home!

Desventajas: Nitpicking really but we used the privacy lock on the door and someone still came into our room when we weren’t there. They only left towels but some other guests could not like that!

Ventajas: Modern small apartment ideal for a short stay for two. Complete staff less establishment requires basic tech skills to check in.

Desventajas: The entrance area smelled terribly bad. It was like a bathroom not cleaned for weeks.

Ventajas: La decoración de la habitación moderna con un toque industrial muy curiosa. La cocina muy equipada (hasta lavavajillas ,micro y horno). Cama muy grande y cómoda, doble almohadón y nórdico calentito.

Desventajas: Luz muy tenue, casi estás a oscuras en la habitación

Ventajas: La cocina tenía de todo, el gel y champú proporcionado me encantaron, la amabilidad de la recepción y todo tipo de detalles de la habitación, era una habitación muy elegante con todo lo necesario.

Desventajas: El servicio para guardar las maletas solo estaba disponible hasta las 4p.m.que esta abierto la recepción.

Ventajas: Brilliant location on the main shopping street but with no intrusive noise. One of the most comfortable bed and pillows I have experienced for many years.

Desventajas: Reception staff concentrating on their mobile phones when not attending to guests doesn't look very professional.

Ventajas: The beds were very comfortable and the rooms cosy and very clean. The location was excellent as was the surrounding area.

Desventajas: The bathrooms were a little cold compared to the rest of the room. Breakfast was good but there were no options to request anything else for example eggs or porridge. Also there was only full fat milk available which isn’t great when your lactose intolerant!

Ventajas: La primera habitación que nos dieron era muy pequeña, aprox 12 m2, sin siquiera mesita de noche a ambos lados ni enchufes, y sin armario. El baño no tenía siquiera una repisa para el cepillo de dientes de tan pequeñito como era. Encima la habitación estaba pegada al ascensor. Nos quejamos porque por 284€ esperábamos algo mejor y nos dieron una junior suite muy cómoda. Así que ojo porque las habitaciones normales son diminutas. Menos mal nos dieron una mejor sin cargo. El desayuno era muy rico y la ubicación fantástica. La decoración era preciosa, muy nórdica.

Desventajas: No nos ofrecieron ayudarnos con las maletas, y fuimos a dos habitaciones con distintos accesos. El servício es inexistente. El café express no está incluido en el precio del desayuno.

Ventajas: We loved this hotel. Modern, totally clean, perfect location, and helpful staff who made great recommendations for tours. We booked the sea view, which wasn’t so much useful for the sea because we came and left in the dark, but was handy for northern lights lookout. We didn’t see any, but were glad we could check every so often without leaving our room.

Ventajas: The location of the hotel was the best. So close to everything and really handy when catching a bus. It was clean, and the room was quiet and I slept well. The robes in the room were a nice touch as was the personal safe. The radiator kept the room nice and warm, and the comforters on the bed were nice. They give you a cell phone to use during your stay to make local phone calls and check the internet. The breakfast choices were good and the food tasted good. The items were regularly stocked and the fruit was fresh. Tables were cleared quickly. There was a bar and restaurant onsite (which I didn't visit), but it looked nice.

Desventajas: The rooms were extremely dark, even with all the lights on. I went in the winter so it was dark outside for the majority of the day. Coffee and tea service in the room was not always replenished daily. One morning, I overheard one of the servers at breakfast reprimand 3 guests at the next table for "wasting food". I was shocked she would say something like this. Apparently there was a sweet roll in the center of their table that they didn't eat, and she went on and on about not taking things that wouldn't be eaten. This was unacceptable in my opinion. The clerk at the check-in, Olga, was less than friendly and talked about other guests to the other clerk when I was within ear-shot. Then, when she was in the middle of helping me another time, she stopped helping me and started taking care of new guests. Not professional at all. Overall, the hotel was OK. A bit expensive I think. It would be nice to add a small refrigerator to the rooms for the guests.

Ventajas: Very comfotable room with a great shower. Fabulous location with lots of places to eat, shop and see minutes away. Friendly and helpful staff at reception plus a great gym, sauna and plunge pool. No complaints at all.

Ventajas: El Hotel Lotus fue perfecto para nuestra primera noche en Rejkyavik. Fue fácil llegar en coche, y pudimos caminar al centro de la ciudad sin problemas. El hotel en sí era sencillo, limpio y muy cómodo. El propietario/gerente era muy agradable y nos dio recomendaciones sobre dónde ir (piscina, centro de la ciudad, etc.) mientras estuvimos allí. El desayuno era delicioso, con una buena variedad de comida y un café fantástico. En general, ¡una estancia perfecta!

Ventajas: Everything. From the comfortable beds to the great breakfast .

Desventajas: Nothing really, but it is a bit outside of the ciry centre - 8 mins drive but ok for us as we planned to head off immediately.

Ventajas: Very comfortable room with the best hot shower we had in Iceland. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. Free onsite parking was good as was the coffee and cake on arrival. Good value accomodation

Ventajas: The hotel had plenty of parking which was perfect for us when we hired a car. The rooms were compact but were cosy and everything we needed. Breakfast in the morning was perfect start to the day before we set off on our Icelandic adventure.

Desventajas: The shower was temperamental once flooding part of our room. This was quickly resolved by the staff. It was just one of those things.

Ventajas: El hotel tiene una calidad precio fantástica para la ciudad tan cara que es. Esta muy bueno y todo está impecablemente limpio. El desayuno es un buffet no muy grande pero con muchísima variedad. Lo mejor es el personal. Realmente son amabilísimos.

Ventajas: It is nice hotel. Breakfast was good with lots of different things to choose. Staff is awesome, very nice and willing to help.

Ventajas: The property was really well located, with a bus stop directly across that takes you into the heart of Reykjavik in 5 minutes. The hotel staff were really lovely and made you feel completely at home. From the Hotel Lotus, trips to the Þingvellir national park were you can do the golden circle.

Ventajas: Owner Maria was very friendly, helpful, provided lots of good advice & suggestions on where to visit, directions, what to watch out, etc. Breakfast was very good. Maria personally introduced many local food that we have never eaten before.

Desventajas: Olía como si alguien hubiera tirado por el pasillo. Creo que el personal de limpieza intentó limpiarla lo mejor que podía, pero el olor perdía.

Ventajas: Quiet but central location & bus stop 13 right outside - great for tour pickups and airport transfers.

Ventajas: Buffet breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean modern and comfortable and the location was perfect, just a 15 minute walk from the centre.

Ventajas: The room on 4th floor was in a quiet corner. It was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Included breakfast buffet was fine - had all the items that most people would have for breakfast, and plenty of them. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part was the location for those going on day tours. The tour bus stop #13 is right in front of the hotel, and I was able to wait for the busses in the comfort of a warm lobby with large glass windows.

Desventajas: The bathroom could use a few shelves for the toiletries. The shower pressure could be stronger. I didn't sign up for the spa package (that included the use of the hot tub), so a strong, hot shower in the room would have been nice for the cold wintry days during my stay.

Ventajas: Tourist bus stop right outside the door. Breakfast had something for everyone and was fab and the staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Desventajas: You had to pay to use the gym. The wardrobe space was very limited and the bathroom door was modern glass and fitted more like a shower screen

Ventajas: Las habitaciones son modernas y bonitas. El personal del hotel atento y amable, con especial mención al chico de Málaga que nos recomendó bajar al puerto para poder contemplar las luces del norte. Su punto fuerte es sin ninguna duda el desayuno y la ubicación, a escasos 5min andando de la zona comercial y las principales atracciones turísticas.

Ventajas: Good service, good room and breakfast quality. Good place. Love it all.

Ventajas: The breakfast was really excellent, with much choice of both hot and cold options, and it all tasted so very fresh and very nice The room was roomy and the bed was very comfortable There was ample lighting and we really enjoyed our stay A bonus was the free parking under the building, which was great as it was very cold when we arrived and we could just come up through the lift Finally, the location was very good and an easy walk to tourist attractions, food and shopping

Ventajas: The hotel is in a great location, the breakfast was really good. The room is great for the price. I would recommend this hotel and we had a great stay.

Desventajas: The main reason I have not given it a 10 was due to the fact that the floor was dirty, it must be difficult to keep a wooden bedroom floor clean but then it wasn’t fixed when the room was cleaned. There are was no safe in the room which meant we had to carry around out important document around with us.

Ventajas: Stayed at Skuggi Hotel for 5 nights over Christmas and had the perfect stay. Room was spacious and warm, shower was really good and the beds were one of the best I’ve slept in a hotel, so comfortable. The room temperature was spot on and we did not have to turn the heating on. Breakfast was plentiful and some really nice and fresh breads and pastries which is exactly what I like for breakfast. Hotel location was perfect too, 1 minute from bus stop 9 for airport transfer as well as pick up and drop off for tours. Main shopping street was also less than couple of minutes walking with lots of shops and restaurants options. Very pleasant stay, would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Desventajas: El aparcamiento estaba en la lista, pero era un aparcamiento público. Tuvimos que conducir y aparcar a unas cuadras de distancia.

Ventajas: ¡Ubicación! No se puede superar la ubicación del Centro. También el personal de recepción es increíble. Pueden reservar todas sus excursiones para usted y si usted quisiera reservar para la cena, pueden sugerir dónde y después hacer las reservas por usted. La hora feliz del bar del hotel era excelente si te gusta la cerveza y los cócteles artesanales.

Desventajas: El tamaño de la habitación era un poco pequeño y no había lugar para una segunda pieza de equipaje grande. Además, incluso con el radiador en la posición OFF, la habitación estaba extremadamente caliente. Nos vimos obligados a dormir con las ventanas abiertas. La cantidad de ruido proveniente de la calle de los coches y la gente a todas horas de la noche no nos dejó dormir bien durante los 8 días que estuvimos allí. Me hubiera gustado haber traído tapones para los oídos.

Ventajas: El personal es excepcional. Muy limpio. Muy céntrico. Cómodo bar y restaurante.

Desventajas: Lento wifi.

Ventajas: Cerca de la parte antigua de la ciudad. De hecho, el hotel está construido sobre el museo de un primer asentamiento.

Ventajas: Estaba limpio, el personal del mostrador era agradable

Desventajas: El hotel había arruinado las reservas. Mi reserva a través de Kayak estaba bien. Sin embargo, un bloque del hotel que iba a ser lanzado 45 días antes de mi llegada todavía estaba en los libros (me estaba uniendo a un grupo de excursionistas) y trataron de que pagara esa supuesta reserva. Al hablar con la agencia que organizó el bloque de habitaciones para este grupo de excursionistas en particular, esta no es la primera vez que este hotel lo hace. Además, una amiga mía que había confirmado su reserva en el Hotel Centrum antes de salir de Estados Unidos, recibió un correo electrónico de que tenían exceso de reservas y que tenía que ir a otro hotel, aunque el Hotel Centrum tenía reservas dobles y, de hecho, tenía habitaciones.

Ventajas: Ubicación en la ciudad.

Desventajas: Ridículo Precio por una habitación que no tenía comodidades. Pagamos 5 estrellas por un motel de 2 estrellas. Habitación pequeña, una cama incómoda. Todo extra.
