Ventajas: The hotel was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities--even a laundry room that guests could use (though you have to ask--I was told that Americans are the only ones who ask about doing their own laundry). An easy 5- to 10-minute walk into Locarno, but all uphill on the way home. Or you could get on the funicular that runs every 15 minutes or so right next to the hotel (until early evening, I think). The breakfast buffet is sumptuous, the coffee very good. Nice grounds, pools, spa facilities.

El lago esta apenas a cinco minutos andando, y de ahi se puede ir dando un paseo hacia el centro. El parking del hotel es gratuito y hay plazas de sobra. El restaurante del hotel ofrece muy buena comida a precios razonables. El desayuno es correcto y la atencion del personal fue muy buena

It also came with a fan, very welcome during a little heat wave. The room was very quiet. We easily walked from the train station there. The owner/manager was friendly.

Ventajas: The Hotel manager was extremely helpful,this made our stay extremely pleasant. The court yard has lovely views of the lake is surrounded by flowers, very peaceful. The room was of a good standard and lovely views of the lake. Hotel is positioned well for area not far to the centre of town and railway station. We will be staying here again. Ventajas: Hotel just ten minutes walk from train station, and bus stop right outside with good links to both Locarno and Ascona. Lake side rooms have fantastic view, but rooms on other side have noisy road.
