Ventajas: I absolutely loved this hotel! It was something a bit different. Quirky decor, very trendy and the bedrooms, whilst fairly snug, were state of the art with a fantastic bed and great shower. Loved the mood lighting. I think what made the stay was the staff, who were fantastic! Enjoyed the early check in and the late check out. The location was great too. Will definitely use citizenM again.

Ventajas: Its a perfect location for the London Design Fair and all the cool places in Shoreditch are walkable. Definitely will be staying again next year.

Desventajas: Would have loved the ability to make a coffee in the room first thing before able to face the world!

Ventajas: The room, tough small, is really well organised and has a really nice view. All is quite modern, the bar is really cool and has a great vibe and the breakfast is wonderful.

Desventajas: Nothing to complain about.

Ventajas: Room was perfect for a weekend. Huge bed with really nice linen. Great location, cool design.

Desventajas: Food and breakfast options weren't very appealing, seems better to go for a short walk in the neighbourhood. Self check in felt a bit like shopping at Tesco.

Ventajas: Really modern, loved how everything in the room could be controlled by an iPad. 24 hour bar and food service, what isn’t there to love!

Ventajas: I booked our stay as a 30th birthday gift for my girlfriend and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special occasion; helping me make secret preparations, assisting me with an early check-in and even giving us complimentary prosecco and cupcakes. The room had one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in and we spent a wonderful day at the beautiful rooftop Lido, swimming in the pool, taking in the view of Shoreditch and eating a delicious dinner of oysters and mac 'n' cheese in the restaurant. A birthday to remember; thank you so much to everyone at The Curtain!

Desventajas: I booked a specific room and was given a key for an apparent upgrade, was not an upgrade they just didn’t have the room I booked. Had sent special requests stating the room I wanted and drove 80 miles to stay. Took an hour of sitting in 2 other empty rooms and a few tears shed by the time we settled it was 10.30pm and we were top tired to go out to eat . The man was not as helpful as he could of been I felt like I was having a battle with him..., the rooms are beautiful and clean but was not impressed with the customer service at all, the gym is amazing. Burned my foot pretty bad on the metal things I’m the shower which are labelled outside but once your having a steam they become invisible. Have stayed before and had a perfect stay which is why I went back but overall this time I was disappointed

Ventajas: Excelente ubicación, a pie de los mejores restaurantes. Excelente el desayuno en el rooftop THE LIDO. Muy buen gimnasio. Mucha onda las habitaciones.

Desventajas: La limpieza de los vestuarios.

Ventajas: Great location for shoreditch. The interior of the hotel and rooms is really nice. Room a nice size Red rooster restaurant really nice Bed extremely comfortable

Desventajas: Put in a wheelchair access room, think it’s nice when asked if this is okay but we weren’t. The bathroom had dark hairs in the shower and sink Was told our luggage had been put in the room when asked when we checked in but it hadn’t. Put in an enjoining room which had extremely thin walls and was able to hear the room next door having extremely loud sex (obviously not the hotels fault) but yes very very thin walls

Ventajas: The Lido restaurant with pool make very nice atmosphere! Nice personnel!!

Desventajas: Breakfast was very good, but not for 5 stars hotel!

Ventajas: The service from staff was second to none, the bed was unbelievably comfortable.

Aparte era nuestro aniversario y encargamos 2 veces antes de ir al alojamiento que pusieran petalos en la cama y se olvidaron completamente. Dandonos la habitacion más tarde de las 15:00 porque no estaba ni preparada... Sinceramente no vale el precio que tiene

Ventajas: minibar was amazing. also the pool on the rooftop.

Desventajas: bathroom. was made for disabled people. because of that shower just had a curtain and the sink was much too low.

Ventajas: This hotel was nothing short of amazing!! The bed was super comfortable and the layout was perfect. The shower was definitely the highlight.

Ventajas: Está en un barrio entretenido, cerca de restaurantes de buenas cocinas de distintos países. La decoración moderna. El personal muy atento. Tiene terraza con piscina y restaurant además de un restaurant abierta hasta tarde.

Ventajas: Brilliant location in Hackney. Friendly check-in, I was upgraded. Outstanding fixtures and details in the room. Fantastic shower with in-built sauna functionality.

Desventajas: The service in the Lido restaurant was a little thoughtless compared to the excellent hotel staff.

Ventajas: The bed was very comfy didn't try the croissants but I'm sure they where. Great spot staff are exceptional make the place The curtain is a very apropriate name for the first time in London I forgot I was there just felt comfy Top job blue Peter badges all round

Ventajas: Personal encantador y muy dispuesto a ayudar en todo. La ubicación muy buena en el corazón de Shoreditch. El hotel moderno y muy cómodo.

Ventajas: Decoración y amabilidad del personal

Ventajas: We loved the fact that we got a small box of chocolates recognising that it was our anniversary. Also, the front of house staff were VERY pleasant and chatty. Upon arrival, we were given a cool flannel, as it was an extremely warm day, which was very welcome! Loved the window shutter in our room...letting just the right amount of light in/out. Could do with those in my own house!!

Desventajas: We found it really difficult to find the hotel, as not well sign posted. We didn't think the area did the hotel justice, we felt it very run down which was a shame. Also, we left one of our personal dressing gowns on the back of the bathroom door without realising. Once we noticed, we rang the hotel(a couple of times) but have had no luck in finding it or any communication from the management with an offer of a replacement or reimbursement which would have been nice, as it was brand new. One small thing...the air cin kept resetting itself to a high heat...not good when it was 33° heat outside.

Ventajas: Excellent staff and amenities, heated bathroom floor, gorgeous and large room

Ventajas: The property is beautiful, clean and modern. It’s a calming place to work but also a great place to grab a drink or bite to eat. The staff is the best part- they are so amazing and helpful.

Desventajas: Depending on what room you choose, the size may be a bit small. However, I think the point is to get out of your room and enjoy the rest of the hotel and the neighborhood.

Ventajas: Very comfortable and nice hotel. Great sleep!!!

Ventajas: Lovely hotel, bed was very comfy and the location of the hotel is perfect. Also they gave us late check out complimentary

Desventajas: The view from our room was not a view at all, it overlooked bushes.

Ventajas: The staff, location, and room were all wonderful. Maid service twice a day was excellent. Lots of nice little touches throughout. Great value for the price. Would definitely recommend this room to others or stay again in the future.

Desventajas: Construction outside of our room woke us up on the first morning - which was quite frustrating, but not the hotel's fault. Fire alarm also temporarily went off one morning which woke us up, but seemed to be resolved quickly.

Ventajas: The staff was courteous

Desventajas: The first room was in first floor and there was noise from your club and people outside screaming until 4 am. My husband and I had several business meetings and we had to move room the next day and it took so much time and you moved us not into a better room but a box with zero natural light and a bed the size of a mouse box. We come to London 3 times a year and the location is great for our needs but you need to soundproof those windows. Will not be returning to your establishment even though we always go to the one in New Orleans. The housekeeping was abysmal. Nothing cleaned garbage knocked down on floor. No soap in the bathtub. And not even our garbage was left in room

Ventajas: Enjoyed my stay, Lovely and staff was accommodating.

Desventajas: Only one Blanket on bed.

Ventajas: The vibe of this hotel is amazing, the look the feel just everything about it is totally unique. We stay here every time we’re in London for business.

Desventajas: £50 deposit...... never had to do this at a hotel before and didn’t like it. They have your details why the deposit?

Desventajas: Staff were not service minded. Got a bad feeling due to several incidents; very bad taxi service arranged by the hotel (extra long ride, no proper taxi car), still not sure if the payment has been correct (double charge and strange they couldn't´t charge me when checking out, got a receipt not correspond to actual withdrawal...)

Ventajas: The novelty of having a guitar and record player (with LP's) in the room

Desventajas: Had to ask twice for the receipt to be sent to me but it never appeared

Ventajas: Lo mejor del hotel, el servicio. Súper amables y atentos todos. desde recepción hasta el último camarero. Amablisisimos. El ambiente muy bueno, gente joven, todo muy modernillo y con un hall donde a cambio de wifi va gente joven que no puede costear una oficina a trabajar , creando un ambiente muy animado (que no ruidoso ni molesto) a cualquiero hora del día. La decoración también muy chula. Se sale de lo normal

Desventajas: Éramos tres, y aunque las camas eran grandes, sólo había dos. Habría preferido un plegatín a tener que compartir cama cada noche

Ventajas: Fantastic location in Shoreditch close to lots of great restaurants and shopping. Loved the lobby bar at night with great DJs and fantastic cocktails. Our room was comfortable and very clean.

Desventajas: We weren’t able to enjoy the rooftop for a drink as during our stay it was always booked for exclusive events, other than that everything was great.

Ventajas: We only stayed for one night for our anniversary. Staff had put one slice of cheesecake in our room which was nice of them. Interesting looking at cells hotel was very empty no real atmosphere.

Desventajas: After checking out I found out that some how my bank card was used to book a break in Amsterdam online and because I had not used the card anywhere else in London it must have been done at the reception of the hotel. I was refunded the money back into m y account by my bank but felt upset that someone would do this. Been told that some hotel staff are taking photos of credit card details and then using them so please be careful

Ventajas: Great location and big rooms.

Desventajas: For a 5* it was a very standard hotel could not sleep properly as could hear every other guest in their rooms even coughing there’s gaps at the bottom of every door we put the do not disturb sign up but still had cleaners knock there was hair in the shower and the sink had a massive crack in it so would not rate this as a 5*

Desventajas: We tried this place on a whim as our usual place recently changed hands. This hotel cost substantially more so we were expecting more. The description is misleading, the seperate seating area is simply a chair to even a sofa. A terrace suite simply over looks the rooftop bar. There is no protective mirroring on the glass so anyone in the rooftop bar can look straight in your room. No bath in a 5 star hotel. Took a £100 deposit for a mini bar that was completely empty. The options for a full English breakfast were limited, scrambled eggs only. Will not recommend and will not stay again.

Ventajas: Juan was super helpful, we decided on the day to drive and he met us at the car park and although we arrived before check in we were able to use the pool changing area to get ready for the wedding we were attending. The room was quiet and spacious the the toiletries very nice.

Ventajas: Location and facilities are good

Desventajas: Not 5* quality room, bathroom, service or breakfast

Ventajas: The decor, the space, the staff all very pleasant and helpful. Valet service was a great touch.

Desventajas: The room service was terrible, no calls answered, the bed wasn’t made, no towels even upon third request. Unfortunately we had no hot water at all between 6am and check out - not happy at all

Desventajas: Please don’t stay at this Hotel! We had no hot water in our room for a morning shower, fair enough things go wrong, but the staff were unsympathetic, there was no manager on duty to sort things out. But worst of all the management will not acknowledge or reply to any of my emails. An apology would be nice!

Desventajas: Extremely disappointed I’d booked this hotel as a birthday treat for myself and it was a big deal as I was leaving my 3 month old for the first time to have some well deserved me time. Unfortunately I was so shocked at the number of service issues at this hotel that during checkout I decided to raise this, my comments were passed onto the operations manager (Jerome) who committed to looking into the issue and getting back to me. Despite me chasing twice I never received the feedback which I feel sums up the service at the hotel! - The Hair dryer in the room was broken and we had to call twice and wait 20 minutes for a new one - We’d booked the room for 3 people however there were only 2 of everything e.g. towels, mugs, robes etc and we had to ask for extras - There was no one at spa so we had to go behind the counter and look for clean towels, robes and slippers as we were told we didn’t need to take them from our room and unfortunately the steam room out of order which we were not told about at check in - My friend had bought in a birthday cake for me and she was told this would be left in the room however it was not there so when she went looking it seemed to have been “misplaced” - Breakfast the next day was an absolute disgrace (which we paid extra for) and so many other customers were complaining also. Hardly any food was brought out so during the whole time at breakfast there were no beans, eggs or orange juice
